Unai Emery's Aston Villa have been one of the surprise elements of the 2023/24 season, making a genuine run for one of the top four spots over Champions League regulars Man Utd, Chelsea, and Spurs.
Aston Villa have turned the tables on many of their previous season's outcomes, notably securing 6 points against title contenders, Arsenal.
But their results and league position aren't the only things that they've flipped on their head this season as eagle-eyed football fans noticed the famous lion crest on the iconic Aston Villa badge was upside down on Emi Martinez's shirt in their 3-1 win over Bournemouth.
Villa fans took to X in confusion.

Villa's kit designers, Castore, have come under intense scrutiny following the embarrassing gaff, wondering how something like this could happen. Well, mistakes happen. They're only human. They're not the first kit company this has happened to, and they won't be the last.
We know.
Because we've done it too.
We've been working with Huddersfield Town Foundation to create their latest custom cycling shirts for their fundraising event, Biking 4 Breakfasts.
Unfortunately, a couple of shirts from their order had, embarrassingly, the pockets printed upside down.
Fortunately, the problem was spotted and we had the shirts remade before the big day.
At least our mistake wasn't broadcast on national TV, though!
